Low beds are one type of medical beds
Low beds are the third type of medical beds that you can find on most of hospitals. These hospital beds are specially designed for patients who are likely to fall off beds and can potentially cause injury. The low beds are commonly set from approximately eight inches to less than two feet from the ground at the highest setting. You will also find that some of these low beds are made with a high or low maneuvering setting.
The last type is called electric bed. This is actually the basic modern bed that is used in hospitals. You will find this hospital furniture in almost all major town hospitals or city hospitals. The electric medical bed is equipped with the buttons on the side rails that makes it easier to raise and lower the bed.
Hospital beds also typically have rails, which are designed to prevent patients from rolling out. These rails can be raised and lowered to perform procedures or to make patients feel more comfortable. Lowering the rails also allows hospital staff to transfer patients from beds to gurneys, such as those used to transport patients to the operating room for procedures. Many hospital beds are also movable so that patients can be relocated with minimal disturbance.
